Stolen Sefer Torah Found in an Arab Home

3

Two months after a Sefer Torah was stolen from a Modi’in Illit shul, the Torah was found in an Arab home in the village of Bir Nabala, south of el-Bireh.

The Torah was stolen from the Vayekel Moshe Shul together with the safe it was placed in.

The safe was recovered in the home of the suspect but it was empty. The 32-year-old suspect denied the allegations against him. During interrogation he revealed the location of the Sefer Torah.

Devise a GPS/Tracking chip that can be embedded into the Aitz Chaim of Sefer Torah allowing police to more easily locate stolen seforim. It could work something like the embedded tracking chip found in most cell phones. Once each year – maybe – the button battery would require replacement!
