#1. Absolutely right. How much money do they think the government should give people? It’s not the governments money, they have to take it away from others and the people are resenting the tax burden they have already, which makes it harder to make ends meet.

People do what you pay them to do. If so much was given to families, the producers will stop producing and go on the same dole and there would be no money for anyone. There are limits and the pie is only so big. The worst thing for anyone is to be dependent on government, who then dictates what you can and can’t do. People also lose their self respect. “Im ain kemach, ain Torah.”

The chareidi rebbeim and admorim scream that the boys should not learn anything outside Torah, the boys should not attend college, the boys should not learn a trade . . . then the boys get married, have 8 or 9 or 10 kids, and can’t clothe or feed them. What happens? “The State must provide.” There is a disconnect here – it’s not up to the State to provide, it’s not up to the shver to provide . . . you go to school, learn a trade, provide for your own family.

If you have 10 children aren’t YOU the main one responsible to bring them their food? Blame the parents and the system for this problem. People need JOBS and not a hand out.
