Egged Fires 27 Arab Bus Drivers Who Incited Fellow Drivers

egednEgged has fired 27 Arab drivers, residents of the eastern capital who incited other drivers to launch as strike following the death of the Arab bus driver found dead in a company parking lot. The autopsy showed conclusively the driver hanged himself and he was not the victim of terrorism as the PA (Palestinian Authority) media alleged.

Egged supervisor for the chareidi community Oren Rom told Kikar Shabbos that those Arab drivers who were working to inflame the situation, launch strikes and capitalize on the so-called murder of the Arab bus driver were dismissed by the company. In fact there have been delays in bus service in the capital following the suicide as a result of Arab drivers striking service.

Rom added that Egged has decided to replace the Arab drivers with chareidi bus drivers, adding there are now 50 chareidim beginning the bus driver’s course. Rom adds that in all likelihood, additional Arab drivers will be fired by management in the near future due to the strikes that launched following the suicide of the driver.

The pressure to act against Egged was due in no small measure to the letters sent to the company’s highest management by chareidi Jerusalem city councilmen. Deputy Mayor Rav Yitzchak Pindrus is now demanding the Egged release the names of the 27 to make sure they are not hired privately by bus companies transporting children back and forth to schools. Pindrus feels they should be banned from working in the public sector for good for “We may not give work to terrorist drivers” he concluded.

ה’ ירחם !!! They obviously cannot affort jewish bus drivers….Look how poor our brothers are in Israel !!!

  2. NO Yishmoel should be allowed to work anyplace near Yiddeen!
This is the advice of the Vizhnitzer Rebbe (See YWN:
http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/headlines-breaking-stories/272552/vishnitzer-rebbe-advises-against-hiring-arabs.html) And the Stoliner Rebbe, who stays out of the limelight as much as possible, announced publicly that he is removing any Arab Employee from all of his Mosdos (SEE YWN: http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/headlines-breaking-stories/272191/karlin-stolin-rebbe-says-throw-the-arabs-out-of-the-mosdos.html)

I am sorry but we do not need the Sechel Hayoshor and the level of Daas Torah our gedolim have to know this on our own. However, people’s blindness to this is MONEY. Arab labvor is cheap and saving a few dollars/shekolim blinds people.
The MIR does not employ any arabs at all!

If NO JEW hires Arabs there will be an outcry from the world on how Jews discriminate, but who cares? This outcry is far outweighed by Jewish Lives, which the world does not give a hoot about!!

  3. Interesting tidbit inside this article.

“Egged has decided to replace the Arab drivers with chareidi bus drivers, adding there are now 50 chareidim beginning the bus driver’s course”.

  4. Boruch Hashem, there are some that are finally utilizing common sense, and Rabbonim encouraging this. There is no reason Jews in Israel or in America should employ Arab workers. Eisav Sonei L’Yaakov, only in an Olam Hafuch, a world that’s been totally corrupted, would people employ their enemies. In Israel, in addition to being a safety measure, this lack of employment might discourage them from staying there, let them go to any of the Arab countries. American Jews should realize that they are a danger to us and our countrymen, the events of 9/11 should have been a wake up call. It pains me greatly, when I walk into Jewish owned stores and businesses and see that a large percentage of the workers are of Arabic origin. There are plenty of Jews looking for work, and a rising number of those labelled, “disabled” who could easily do these jobs, some with some coaching. Our money should be used to help our own, both in terms of finances and self esteem. Jewish owned workplaces should NOT be supporting Eisav and possible terrorists.
