Reminds of a story with they say skullen rebbe. They lived in russia under an evil czar (don’t remember the name). The czar wanted to promote russia to international trade (including jewish). In order to prove to the internationals including jewish delegates his religious tolerance, he asked (forced) the skullene rebbe to speak by this event. Catch 22. Speak the truth and suffer the consequences or lie and the word will not get out. The skullene rebbe stood up and proclaimed that he was not a gifted speaker and actually not a speaker at all. He therefore composed a song in honor of the czar and the event. He then proceeded to sing yivoda bagoyim (shall it be known to the nations against our eyes, the revenge of the blood of your slave (speaking to h-m) that was spilled). This gorgeous emotional song sounded very nice to the czar who didn’t understand the words of king david, while the jewish attendees understood the hidden cry of torture (skullen rebbe was imprisoned for his jewishness etc.)
