Watch the video, if they are truly responding to an armed individual, then why would they pull into the park grass like its erev shabbos? They should’ve pulled up farther away, approached him with their guns drawn shouting “drop it.”
Also, if you read other reports, an adult called the police and emphasized that the gun is probably fake and is being held by a minor. Why can’t the adult be an adult and approach the kid and ask him to leave the park?
I’d like to have seen the police approaching him from a little farther away with guns drawn as oppose to getting up close and personal and then using the gun right away.
Also, please don’t take airsoft guns into public spaces. They look too real for the untrained eye to tell the difference and throw people in a panic.
