I don&#039;t believe this is 75 years overdue because when LGA was opened they NEVER imagined it would be the size and as busy as it is now.  Even if the NYCTA wanted to build a subway line into the airport the envirowackos would have fought it for each and every centimeter. 

Yes, this is necessary!   As one who has flown in and out of LGA when I was flying more, it is disappointing that the connections to Manhattan aren&#039;t better.  Currently, to get to midtown as I would for the train/bus to North Jersey, I have to take the q33, to the Triboro bridge station for the subway to Manhattan and then its another change of trains.  If they build a monorail, one could take the LIRR into Penn Station or the 7 straight into Times Square / PABT. 

The trip home from LGA on a normal day for me is slightly less than 90 minutes by train from the time we got to a gate.  I guess this will knock it down a bit more, if my transit connections work out.]]></description>
