Likud Recount Promised in Hotevely Dichter Dispute

likudAfter the Likud Court gave Tzipi Hotevely the party’s 20th slot on the election ticket, the party’s Supreme Court overturned the decision in the ongoing dispute with Avi Dichter and ordered a recount of the votes from the primary election. Dichter was in the 20th slot and Hotevely in the 26th position. The two have been back and forth in the party’s court over who gets the 20th slot and now, what appears to be a final recount will determine who gets the realistic slot and who is likely to be outside the 20th Knesset.

The party’s Supreme Court on erev Shabbos Parshas Bo ordered the recount in light of the small number of votes between the candidates, less than 40.

  1. Every time they recount there are different results. Therefore, who is to say this count is more reliable than the other? There seems to be something wrong here. Is this more corruption? Can the Israeli establishment ever let the public speak?
