MESSAGE FROM NJ STATE POLICE: Abandoned Vehicles on State Roadways to be Towed

nj

Effective January 26, at 2:00 p.m., any abandoned or disabled vehicles on State and Interstate roadways will be removed by the New Jersey State Police, county, and local police. This is the directive of Commissioner Jaime Fox of the Department of Transportation. It will remain in effect until 2:00 p.m. on January 27.

The purpose of removing abandoned and disabled vehicles is to allow emergency road crews to plow and treat the roadways.

If you find yourself in this situation, please call the appropriate department that patrols the roadway where you left your vehicle.
