Egged Transport union leaders announced that they will be launching a strike on Monday, 11 Adar. Drivers will permit riders on buses without charging them from 05:30-14:30.
The strike appears to surround labor allegations that management is unwilling to take worker demands serious regarding contract negotiations.
Free rides will be given in a number of cities including Ashdod, Ashkelon, Kiryat Gat, Kiryat Malachi, Ofakim, Netivot, Sderot, Elad, Mevassert Tzion, Maale Adumim, Pisgat Ze’ev, Givat Ze’ev, Gaza border communities, Bnei Brak, Yerushalayim and Beersheva.

You need to update this information. In fact, the company has countered by pulling the routes entirely and there is currently no service to these areas at all.
