Lakewood: Important Information For Erev Pesach From Lakewood Police Chief Rob Lawson


lawsonChief Rob Lawson of the Lakewood Police Department gave YWN the following information concerning the upcoming yom tov.

Chometz drop off starts at 8:00am on Thursday, April 2, until Friday, April 3 until noon and it will be at the following locations:

1. John Patrick Park 1000 Vine Street by the baseball parking lot.
2. Sunset Road Playground
3. Old DPW Site 9th Street- Parking lot.
4. Forest Avenue- Between 9th and 10th Street
5. West Gate- Hillside Blvd.
6. John Franklin Public Works Complex – One America Avenue.
7. Frank Bartolf Park- Brook Road, parking lot
8. New Site- Blue Claws Stadium

On Friday, April 3, erev Pesach, there will be chometz burnings at different locations in town which will be monitored by the Ocean County Fire Marshall’s Office. (Sof Biur is 11:45am) These locations will include:

1. BMG Parking lot 7th Street, starts at 7:00am.
2. Old Cheder School Playground, 10th and Madison Avenue, 7:00am start
3. Parking lot of K’hal Zichron Yaakov at 175 Sunset Road, 8:00am
start.
4. Cong. Sons of Israel Parking Lot, 5th Street, 7:30 start
5. John Patrick Park- 1000 Vine Street, by the soccer field parking
lot, 7:00am start.
6. Frank Bartolf Park – Brook Road, 7:00am start
7. New Site- Blue Claws Stadium, 7:00am start.

Police crossing guards will be assisting pedestrians at these sites as well as over a dozen other locations in town. If you have large items to burn, please bring them early in the morning. Please do not put any rubber or plastic items (such as plastic bags) in the dumpster.
