Sirens Sounding in the Golan Heights [UPDATED 12:44 IL]

12:44: There are conflicting reports but it appears the IDF is regarding the mortar shell fire into the Golan Heights as stray fire in the ongoing battle between rebels and Syrian government forces.

12:29: The IDF is no firing back at the source of the rocket fire. It is reported there may have been a third rocket. One of the rockets landed in an apple orchard. B”H, once again no fatalities or injuries reported at this time.

12:23: It is now reported that two mortar shells landed in the Golan Heights, near Quneitra and Ein Zivan. B’chasdei Hashem there is no loss of life, injuries or property damage as the mortars landed in an open area.

12:14: It appears at least one mortar rocket landed in an open area in the Golan Heights in the area of Ein Zivan. The IDF is responding and combing the area. There are no immediate reports of anyone reporting injuries or property damage.

  1. One of the rockets landed in an apple orchard. B”H, once again no fatalities or injuries reported at this time. Is this because the farmer is Shomer Shevi’is & hence was absent from his orchard this year?
