		<description><![CDATA[1. The police have done a good job of keeping the riot limited to lower class African American neighborhoods. There was a little spillover to downtown but nothing horrible (though it did mess up the Orioles schedule, costing stadium employees some income).

2. It would be nice if the police showed the same concern for lower class Blacks as they do for middle class, but realistically, police in most cities know who butters their bread, which is why crime is concentrated in poor areas.

3. There are reasons to suggest the the damage was done by a small number of criminals considering the event that triggered the riot didn&#039;t involve police brutality, but non-racial incompetence (since it appears the fatal injury was related to not wearing a seatbelt in the police van).]]></description>
