Public Security Minister Yitzchak Aharonovich visited Meron ahead of Lag B’Omer to evaluate police preparedness. Aharonovich, a former Israel Police chief was accompanied by senior commanders and he received an overview of preparations and the master plan for the event that entails over 200,000 visitors coming to the tziyun of the Rashbi.

The minister was also escorted by Ichud Hatzalah leaders and the former praised the volunteer organization, not only for its presence in Meron but its year-long life-saving efforts around Israel.
