PM Meets with Joint Arab List Leader

bibPrime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Thursday, 3 Sivan, in his Jerusalem office, met with Joint Arab List Chairman MK Ayman Udeh. The two men discussed the socio-economic advancement of Israel’s Arab citizens. The Prime Minister noted the many investments that his governments have made in this important area over the past six years and added that it was necessary to continue reducing the gaps in Israeli society.

Prime Minister Netanyahu suggested holding a regular dialogue between a government team consisting of the relevant ministers and Arab MKs in order to formulate a socio-economic plan that is as broadly based as possible.

On Thursday, Yisrael Beitenu leader Avigdor Lieberman labeled Udeh “a fifth column”, calling on PM Netanyahu not to meet with him since in Lieberman’s words, the Arab MKs “are working towards the destruction of the State of Israel”.
