Jewish Visitors Attacked on Har Habayis

hhaA father and two sons were attacked while visiting Har Habayis on Monday morning, 12 Tammuz. Arabs hurled shoes and stones at them. The father turned to Honenu to report the incident as well as the inaction of police on the scene.

“The policemen hurried us along to complete our visit. At one point a young Arab male approached and threw shoes and stones at us” explained the father. One of the shoes struck the father in his back. “Police hurried us along and said ‘we will deal with them this evening’” the father added.

Gedolei HaPoskim throughout the ages including Gedolei Hador Shlita today have ruled it is absolutely forbidden to visit Har Habayis, even if one does so in line with Halacha including tevila. This is also the ruling of the Chief Rabbinate of Israel. This is an Issur Kares.

  1. to Dkanoi, How iare the `Jews provoking on Har Habayit, which is the makom Hahsecinah. Arabs are tumat ZAv and shouldn;t be there. The arabs are causing the greatest of chilul Hahem by desecrating the Kodesh Kodoshim daily. Doesn;t Kiddush Hahsem require misirut nefesh? By being shev ve’al taaseh, you transgress the sin of chilul Hahsem. Ask your rabbi if its okay for Jews to allow this chilul Hahshem to continue.

  2. Yes, we have asked all the Gedolim who said jews are not permitted to enter the Har Habayis – we are in Golus even in Zionist Israel and have to daven for Moshiah to end this Chillul Hashem!

  3. I agree with dlkanoi and unfortunately the previous persons comment is another example of some misguided person distorting Judaism to what they believe it means….most religions out there wete origionally started by a frum jew who had his own translation of what was allowed.
