PM Cancels Meetings Between His Deputy Minister And Turkish State Officials


bibnPrime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu has cancelled planned meetings between Deputy Minister of Regional Development Ayoub Kara and officials in the Turkish Government, Knesset Channel Political Desk Bureau Chief Yaron Avraham reports.

The decision was made by Israel’s National Security Council following consultations with Foreign Ministry and Prime Minister’s Office officials. Meetings scheduled included with the Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister, and Cultural Minister. Turkey insists it did not cancel any meetings, pointing a finger of blame at Israel, accusing Jerusalem of handling affairs by lying and manipulating.

Officials in Deputy Minister Kara’s office released a statement to the press: “The canceling of the meetings by MK Kara are the result of political considerations and not relevant interests and the loss is that of the State of Israel. Interested parties are involved here and they actions represents crossing a red lines”.
