For a second consecutive week, the cabinet during its weekly meeting on Sunday 18 Tammuz pushed off voting on the Shas/Yahadut Hatorah bill pertaining to the national kashrus law. Objections to portions of the amended text from the Kulanu party resulted in the delay.

Despite reports that Shas agreed to a compromise text in the bill, a Shas official now signals it may take another week or two until the bill is voted upon in cabinet.
