Mrs. Adina Bar-Shalom, a daughter of Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef ZT”L, attend a Shas faction meeting. For years the meetings were attended by men only, MK, ministers and their aides. Now, Mrs. Bar-Shalom will attend a meeting once monthly.

The meeting took place on Monday, 19 Tammuz. Mrs. Bar-Shalom reported on the activities of chareidi women. Her address was preceded by an official welcoming from party leader Aryeh Deri. Deri praised the party’s women’s council and their efforts on behalf of Shas. The women’s division is headed by Deri’s wife, Mrs. Yafeh Deri and Mrs. Bar-Shalom. The names of the other members of the council have not been released.
