Foreign Ministry Adds the Kosel to the Itinerary of Visiting VIPs


koselThe Foreign Ministry has decided to add the Kosel to the list of sites that will be on the itinerary of visiting VIPs. According to the Yediot Achronot report, Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotevely has instructed ministry officials responsible for arranging the visits of arriving state officials to add the Kosel. At present, visit foreign officials are taken to Har Herzl, Yad Vashem, and the Knesset and now the Kosel will be on the list of official sites.

Hotevely explains that while more than half of the visiting VIPs will visit the Kosel anyway, it is most significant to make it a component of the official agenda, which means the ministry officials’ accompanying VIPs will explain the significance of the Kosel to the Jewish People.
