Delta Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Baltimore

delA Delta Air Lines flight has made an emergency landing in Maryland because of an engine problem.

An Associated Press reporter on board the flight Wednesday, Brad Brooks, says the pilot provided few details on board other than saying there was an emergency. The MD-90 had been traveling from Atlanta to New York.

Federal Aviation Administration Kathleen Bergen says the flight landed safely at 10:30 a.m. after the pilot reported a problem with the right engine. She referred further questions about the nature of the engine problem to Delta.

Jonathan Dean, a spokesman for Thurgood Marshall Baltimore-Washington International Airport, says the aircraft landed without incident and taxied to a gate. He did not have further details.
