Report: PM Netanyahu Threatened Bayit Yehudi Ministers with Forming a New Coalition

bibeChannel 2 News correspondent Udi Segal reports on Wednesday, 24 Tishrei, that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu threatened Bayit Yehudi Minister Ayelet Shaked (Justice) and Naftali Bennett (Education) during a Security Cabinet meeting that was called in light of the sharp increase in Islamic terror.

According to the report, the prime minister explained to the high-level forum that he does not rule out changing the coalition, changing the eight Bayit Yehudi seats with the Zionist Camp headed by MK Yitzhak Herzog and its 24 seats. Segal quotes the prime minister warning he will not tolerate a repeat of the performance of Bayit Yehudi minister during Operation Protective Edge, when they openly criticized the cabinet during a time of war. He warned if the current makeup cannot continue then a change is in order.

In response to the report, Bayit Yehudi officials told Channel 2 News that ministers from Bayit Yehudi will continue fighting for their beliefs as they have done in the past.

  1. To do nothing in the face of terror is criminal. But to threaten those who call for at least some sort of response is just outright pathetic.

  2. Netanyahu is a failed. The Arabs are out of control. New Elections are needed. Bayit Yehudah should leave and drgrl HaTorah. Shas under Deri can sink with Netanyahu!
