PLEASE HELP: United Hatzalah Needs Protection To Save Lives in Israel

ttt

Since October 3rd, dozens of terror attacks have struck Israel, killing 7 people and injuring almost 100.

United Hatzalah volunteers, with an average response time across Israel of 3 minutes, are usually the first medical responders on the scene.

According to the Torah the mitzvah of saving a life is paramount, as it says in mishna Sanhedrin, “whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world.”

Yet this doesn’t take away from the danger United Hatzalah volunteers face as they treat wounded at stabbings, shootings and other terror incidents.

“Terror is striking in Israel anywhere and at anytime. United Hatzalah volunteers are ready to respond anywhere and at anytime,” – said United Hatzalah medic Daniel Katzenstein who responded to yesterday’s attack near the Jerusalem central bus station.

“My biggest worry is that one of our volunteers will get hurt himself because they are usually first on the scene and the terrorist may still be active,” said Eli Beer, United Hatzalah’s founder and president.

To respond to increasing terror attacks, United Hatzalah is starting an emergency campaign to raise money to purchase protective gear for 1,000 volunteers from the Jerusalem area to Netanya,

Eli Beer, at the scene of a terror attack yesterday in Jerusalem, explains why this equipment is so important.
