The defendant in the assault case against MK Ahmed Tibi was convicted and sentenced to four months imprisonment. The defendant admitted to throwing a hot cup of tea at the Member of Knesset which hit him in his face, as part of a plea-bargain agreement.
The Beersheva court convicted the defendant who is not required to pay compensatory damages since Tibi’s complaint did not include any request for damages.
