A Woman in Her 60s is in Custody for Hanging a Pig’s Leg on an Arad Shul


8A police spokesman announced on Wednesday, 1 Adar I, that an Arad woman in her sixties was arrested on suspicion of placing a pig’s leg at a shul in the city on more than one occasion. She was arraigned on Wednesday and released on bail with restrictions.

Police in November 2015 received a complaint from mispallalim of a shul, who found a pig’s leg dangling from the entrance. A piece of pork was also throw into the shul R”L.

The investigation led to the arrest of the city resident, who was taken into custody on Sunday, 28 Shevat. After her arrest she denied any connection to the attacks but later admitted to her actions and reenacted the crime.
