Report: Israeli Bedouin Citizens Abducted And Released In Turkey


turkyTwo Israeli Bedouins were reportedly abducted and later released while in Turkey. The two, cousins, residents of Rahat in southern Israel, are medical students. The families received a ransom demand on Thursday and turned to Israel Police and the Foreign Ministry.

Israel Radio reported the abduction of the two and the ransom demand to their families asking for $200,000 for their safe return. On Shabbos the families were informed the two were released after being held for a number of days and could be found at a Turkish police station. The report states they were released before the ransom was paid.
