Holocaust Survivors Celebrate A Bar/Bas Mitzvah At The Kosel

2The special bar/bas mitzvah held at the Kosel was arranged in cooperation with the Ministry for Social Equality and Minister Gila Gamliel.

For Moshe Solomon, a 79-year-old survivor from Rishon L’Tzion, it was an emotional event for he never marked his bar mitzvah. He explained “I don’t remember being this emotional for many years” as he described his feeling, participating in the bar mitzvah at the Kosel as this advanced age.

Also participating in the event was Kosel Rav Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz Shlita, who stated “The event shows the deep connection to the eternal legacy at all times no matter what the situation. It is our duty to remember and transmit this to the future generations”.

Officials of the Kosel Heritage Foundation feel events at the Kosel such as this one are indeed special, “Tangible evidence of the eternity of the Jewish People”.
