Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked on Sunday morning 21 Iyar announced her party’s ultimatum regarding the terms of backing the coalition deal with Avigdor Lieberman. Bayit Yehudi announces it remains firm on its insistence regarding the appointment of a military cabinet secretary to assist ministers is making appropriate defense decisions.

Bennett insists that he will not back the deal to expand the coalition unless his demand for a military secretary to the cabinet is approved by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

During an interview with Galei Tzahal (Army Radio) Shaked explained Bennett has called on PM Netanyahu to appoint and military secretary to the cabinet a number of times during the year but nothing occurred, adding “This is not a political or party matter but we will vote against the Lieberman deal if the issue is not resolved”.

She added “We do not think this has to lead to elections but if this occurs, we are ready for elections. Once again the matter is important and not a political matter”.
