The elder chossid in Sanz in Eretz Yisrael was niftar at the age of 105. HaRav HaChossid Noach Gershuni z”l held a number of administrative positions in the Tel Aviv Chevra Kadisha for a period of 40 years.

While his parents in the Holocaust, R’ Noach made aliyah before the war at the age of 27. He lived in Tel Aviv throughout his life, always working to advance Yiddishkheit. He succeeded in getting many treif stores to sell their stores and one by one, increased the number of stores closing on Shabbos.

He was a factory manager for and period of time and then moved to the chevra kadisha. He was known to be close to and committed to the rebbe, never missing his well-known Chumash-Rashi shiur.
