For a fifth consecutive summer, hesder yeshiva talmidim used their bein hazmanim to become certified EMTs in the hope of contributing in the future. the courses are sponsored by Magen David Adom (MDA). The course was given in the Lod Mechina Yeshiva.

The talmidim last week completed the first portion of the court and in the future they will ride on MDA ambulances to complete this portion of their training. This will be done during their Tishrei break from limudim. Upon completion of the practical portion of their training they will be certified as emergency medical technicians by MDA.

For many of the hesder talmidim, the course is the beginning of their path towards becoming certified as paramedics.
