Israel Electric Working To Beat The Weather


kkBaruch Hashem forecasters are predicting rain and the comfortable weather is expected to take a sharp turn in the direction of winter on Wednesday, 29 Cheshvan.

Israel Electric Company (IEC) officials report that the past dry months along with the dust and soot that accumulated during recent fires in conjunction with the first serious rains may lead to power outages. The combination of dust, soot and rain is likely to cause malfunctions in some areas, the experts report, adding this despite the many maintenance crews that were working ahead of winder rinsing lines and pruning trees.

Israel Electric reports it is fully prepared for the winder and all repairs teams have heavy equipment including lifts and cranes, ready to move on a moments notice. Officials add that recently, efforts were made to improve cooperation between the utility company and local governments. In addition, the utility is expanding its 103 service centers to accommodate additional callers.

The utility company is empathetic, explaining despite the extensive advance preparations, the anticipated strong winds that should arrive this week may cause the collapse of trees hit by branches and other objects, parts of the electric network and lead to outages.

In its message to the people via the media ahead of the stormy days, IEC calls on the pubic to be patient and vigilant and to report immediately on torn electrical wires or damage to the power grid.
