My family and I drove in to NY for my brothers wedding and we left before shabbos in case this thing would happen. My brother in Israel who was supposed to fly in for the wedding had his flight cancelled and will most probably not be able to make it. And it is supposed to go up to 18″.

In the upstate area I live there are many “munyan factories but thay have parking.

SNOW!! The only GOOD thing about living in NY

#1, noone is immune from Mother Nature. In florida they have crazy hurricanes to worry about. So while it may be nice and warm now, in 8 months from now they have to deal with the hurricanes ever since I moved here I haven't been in a hurricane, my first year in yeshiva we had rita who was a TS and in the end it was just a bad rainstorm, then I was home for wilma (it was over sukkos) and for 5 years after that no hurricanes whatsoever noone is immune from Mother Nature except snowbirds

You may all love watching the snow and the inconvience that it causes, but there are others for whom this is a pure disaster. I know someone getting married tonight – I would imagine that she and her chosson have kind of been waiting for this for a little while – and now, who knows how many of their friends and relatives won’t be able to make it. I know I would be pretty bummed if it were my wedding…
