snow plows are needed. not garbage trucks with little shovels on the front. check your flights many are canceled very close to the departure time at jfk.

Nothing but nothing can compare with 2 to 3 inches of snow in London. Airports closed for 3 to 4 days

“Port Authority officials told NY1 that it is up to individual airlines to make sure that there are enough gates for arrivals, and that the airlines in question had not failed to do so”

“Not failed to do so” means the airlines did make sure to have a gate. So why did the Port Authority leave the planes on the tarmac?
If it is just poor writing, then why did the Port Authority leave them out there for so long? To punish the airlines? Surely they could have found some way to get the passengers into a terminal.
