yes i happened to have seen the accounts of more than a few of the people that use these places, and i know another few that have money or at least their children have money so why shall we pay for this.
and don’t forget the other point i pointed out, There are a few people that own shares in these centers that are afraid of losing their millions they raking in from our tax money so they are making these noises

#1 Wow. Just wow.

Yes. Absolutely. Of COURSE we are worried about seniors losing their centers. Do you realize that for many older people, this is their sole chance to be among other people? Why are YOU not worried about them having nowhere to go?

Senior citizens are NOT second class citizens and their needs absolutely do NOT have to be pushed aside so a greedy younger generation can demand the city’s money for their own selfish interests.

I’m sorry but 99% of people using the centers have money and can pay for them or at least the money they pay shall be used.
There are a few people that own shares in these centers that are afraid of losing their millions they raking in from our tax money so they are making these noises
Either seniors shall pay to keep it open or shut’em down

Im sorry but your comment is uncalled for. Senior centers are exremely important in our community. One elderly holocaust survivor told me this is the reason why she gets up in the morning- so she can be part of this amazing program. Its exciting and fun and gives her a social life, and the childhood education she never had. She was so depressed that it might close, im very happy that its continuing. True school vouchers are important but to say that senior centers are nothing to be worried about is very narrow minded!
