The key words in this whole stupid “expose” are “voluntary guidelines” and “proposed”. So some political panel PROPOSES that manufacturers be ASKED POLITELY to follow a guideline; the proposal has NOT YET BEEN ACCEPTED; and surprise surprise, many cereals on the market don’t follow it. So what? Who says this proposal is even sensible? And if it’s accepted by the politicians, what will that prove? And even if it does make sense, and it is eventually accepted, then presumably some manufacturers will choose to comply with it and bring their formulas into line while others won’t; but it’s stupid to expect that they should all ALREADY be in compliance with a guideline that hasn’t even been adopted yet.

Ok libs, y’all need to take a chill pill quickly. Here are the facts of life …. in order to have things taste good you need sugar and you need salt. If you don’t like these cereals and your objective is to have the evil profit making companies lose money do everyone a bigger favor & DON’T BUY THEIR PRODUCTS! I don’t need your lamebrain zany ideas & thoughts getting in the way of my food.

Most of us out here are smart enough to know what wr are putting into our mouths & we don’t need left wing “think tanks” telling us what we could, should, can’t, or shouldn’t eat.

SUGAR CEREALS CONTAIN LOTS OF SUGAR!!!!

What would we ever do without such sophisticated research? I mean, it’s not as if the manufacturers are going to just print the sugar content right there on the box or something. And even if they did, they would probably make it hard to find, not in some kind of uniform and standard white box that we could easily read.
Thank goodness this study was done to save us. Now I feel so much awe for their intellect and education that I will be open to hear unsolicited advice on how I should conduct my life.

The labels are all quite clear.

People have been adding massive amounts of sugar to everything for 500 years or so (the archeologists can determine the exact date since at the point sugar was introduced into the food supply, the skeletons generally don’t have any teeth)
