There are also huge needs in Staten Island. I just returned from taking a carload of relief supplies — food, water, cleaning supplies and some clothing — from my synagogue in the Bronx to the District Office of State Sen. Andrew Lanza, 3845 Richmond Avenue, Staten Island. They are particularly in need of cleaning supplies, bottled water, ready to eat food, and volunteers. Do not bring clothing as they have more than they can easily distribute. The Senator’s staff said that they appreciated the kosher food as many Jews had been affected by the disaster.
