(Friday, May 28th, 2010)

The New York City subway map is getting a makeover.

According to the New York Times, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority is about to unveil a resized, recolored and simplified version of the underground icon.

The redesigned map makes Manhattan bigger, reduces Staten Island and eliminates the service guide along the bottom border to make the map easier to read.
