Ya’alon Optimistic Regarding Next Syrian Regime


Vice Premier and Minister of Strategic Affairs Moshe Ya’alon feels that the new regime in Syria following the downfall of Bashar al-Assad will present an improved situation. He feels that it is only a matter of time regarding Assad’s removal from office, explaining the Muslim Brotherhood in Syria has less of a foothold then in Egypt. He feels the leadership will be identified with the Sunni Muslims, and that the new administration may be an improvement for Israel regarding issue pertaining to Iran and Hizbullah.
