PHOTOS: Inauguration Of Police Station In Betar Illit

A festive ceremony took place inaugurating the new police station in Betar Illit, reportedly, the first police station in a chareidi city. the station will serve Betar, the Gush Etzion Regional Council and the community of Efrat. Taking part in the ceremony were Minister of Public Security Gilad Erdan Police Chief Roni Alshich, Mayor Meir Rubinstein and local officials and commanders.

The opening of the new Tzion station is testimony to the significant growth in the chareidi city, with commanders promising the presence of the new station will result in improved patrols and service to the community in general and Betar in particular.

Police Chief Alsheich explained placing the area station inside the chareidi city is yet another sign of the importance in the eyes of police to improve and strengthen relations with the chareidi tzibur.

  1. Betar Illit was initiated by Teddy Kollek as a way of ridding Yerusaliim of the Hareidim. What a beautiful example of the KLAAL: RASH HACHIN, VETZADIK LOVESH.
