Coalition Chairman Bitan On The Possibility Of Early Elections

Coalition Chairman (Likud) MK David Bitan told Kol Berama Radio on Thursday morning 3 Nissan that the coalition crisis is not over. He explained that even if the matter of the Israel Broadcasting Authority is resolved between Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon, Bayit Yehudi is certain to declare the next crisis.

“Simply stated, it does not matter what agreement is reached between us and the Trump administration, however good it may be, the Bayit Yehudi party will not be satisfied and the threats of breaking the coalition will begin” he explained. “Bayit Yehudi is never satisfied and will never be satisfied” added Bitan, who explained the prime minister will clearly seek the best possible deal without entering into confrontations with the US administration.

Regarding the matter of the IBA and the new broadcasting authority, Bitan is confident agreement will be reached between the senior ministers. “If Likud wants to go to early elections it does not need an excuse” he added, stating this is not the case but quite the contrary.
