A Weakened Brisk Rosh Yeshiva Will No Longer Be Mesader Keddushin

Brisk Rosh Yeshiva HaGaon HaRav Meshulam Dovid Halevi Solovechik announced on Sunday evening 17 Sivan that due to his weakened condition, he will no longer be mesader keddushin for talmidim of the yeshiva. The rosh yeshiva announced he appoints his elder son, HaGaon Rav Yitzchak Ze’ev Halevi Solovechik to fill in as mesader keddushin.

Rav Yitzchak is 52, and son-in-law of the Ponevezh Rosh Yeshiva, HaGaon HaRav Baruch Dov Povarsky. In light of the new situation, the rosh yeshiva requested that his son review and be tested in halachos of chupah and keddushin by his father-in-law before assuming his new role.
