IDF Ambulance Arriving In Yitzhar Attacked With Rocks


According to an IDF report, a military ambulance that responded to the Shomron community of Yitzhar was attacked with rocks, smashing the vehicle’s windshield. The attack occurred as the vehicle was leaving the community.

The report stated the vehicle was responding to a call on motzei Shabbos for a woman who had dehydrated. Baruch Hashem no one was injured in the rock-throwing attack.

According to the report, earlier in the day, sharp penetrating objects were placed on the ground to prevent security vehicles from entering the community. IDF officials stated that such actions, attacking an ambulance or confronting security forces responsible for protecting the community represents crossing a red line, adding the IDF will continue enforcing the law in Yehuda and Shomron.

  1. There seems to be pieces of this story missing. Is it known who these stone throwers were? Why was a military ambulance sent and not a civilian one?
