MK Malkieli Wants Signs To Prevent Israelis From Mistakenly Entering PA Areas

Just this week, a chareidi family that entered PA (Palestinian Authority) controlled Shechem on their way to Har Bracha, were rescued Baruch Hashem by IDF soldiers.

Following that incident, MK (Shas) Michael Malkieli pointed out the dangers and what could have occurred, he calls on the appropriate ministry to install “proper signs” that are easily visible and deliver a clear message to prevent any Israeli from entering a PA autonomous area.

Malkieli is confident that the proper signs will prevent future occurrences and the matter is one of priority.

  1. I think what MK Malkieli means is there needs to be (more) signs near Huwara, Schechem, Yericho etc BEFORE Israelis get into these areas. But I’m curious… how does a Charedi father from Jerusalem have a gun? I thought only people in the IDF, law enforcement, security, or those living/working in the shtachim are allowed to carry. If anyone is eligible, sign me up – I can shoot.
