Gas Price Increase In Israel In January 2018


There will be an adjustment in gasoline prices in Israel in January 2018, an increase.

Gas prices including VAT will be NIS 6.19 a liter for 95 octane, the equivalent of $7.15/US gallon. This represents a f agorot increase from last month.

The calculation is based on the closing Bank of Israel exchange rate on Friday, 11 Teves, of NIS 3.46=$1

  1. Wow, $7.15 per gallon?! That sounds like a lot but, not knowing anything about pricing in E’Y, what is that in comparison to prices of other things people normally buy like milk, water, etc?
