TERROR: Stabbing Attack In Karmei Tzur; Terrorist Eliminated

7:10AM IL: A security official sustained light injuries in an early-morning stabbing attack on Wednesday, 22 Shevat at the security guard station at the entrance of Karmei Tzur, in Gush Etzion.

The terrorist arrived at the booth by vehicle, pulled a knife and stabbed one of the security personnel. A second guard fired at the terrorist, killing him.

The wounded man, 34, has non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

7:48AM IL: The knife used by the terrorist is seen in the photo above.

The terrorist and security guard got into a hand to hand combat situation, during which the victim was stabbed in his hand. In the accompanying video from Hadassah Hospital we are told the guard was wounded in his hand and other than this, he is Baruch Hashem well.

The terrorist was identified as 17-year-old Hamza Zamareh from Halhul. The victim is Boris Balbrava from Karmei Tzur.
