Dati Leumi Rabbonim Write To PM Netanyahu To Save Netiv HaAvot

In anticipation of the deadline of the court order to demolish the homes of the community of Netiv HaAvot, which were supposedly built on private Palestinian land, the heads of the dati leumi rabbonim are appealing to the prime minister to find a solution that would eliminate the need to demolish the buildings.

In a letter signed by HaRav Chaim Druckman, HaRav Yaakov Barriel, HaRav Rabbi Aryeh Stern, HaRav Dov Lior and HaRav Avigdor Nebenzahl, the prime minister was required to keep his promise and immediately arrange the lands of the neighborhood as well as the 15 homes of the Netiv Avot neighborhood In Elazar, the numbers are in danger of demolition.

“Anywhere else in the country, apart from Yehuda and Shomron, other arrangements are made in similar situations, not house demolitions,” said the lawyers, who believe that “such arrangements should be made in this case, not demolish the homes.”

It should be noted that as early as last week, IDF bulldozers, paving roads to the neighborhood, saw a first step towards the planned destruction.
