New Poll Places Likud Way Ahead Of Yesh Atid

The latest Geocartography election poll published by Yisrael Hayom, was conducted at the behest of the Likud party and it shows good news for Likud, which would earn 34 seats in Knesset if elections were held today. While recent polls over past weeks showed Yesh Atid in close proximity to Likud, this poll shows Yesha Atid far behind with 20 seats.

Likud 34

Yesh Atid 20

Bayit Yehudi 14

Machane Tzioni 12

Arab List 12

Yahadut Hatorah 9

Kulanu 7

Meretz 6

Yisrael Beitenu 6

Shas -less than the minimum to get into Knesset.

The poll shows that while there are recommendations by Israel Police to indict Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, in addition to ongoing police investigations, his party remains the leader, to the surprise and chagrin of many. Many believe because of police recommendations and the cases against Mr. Netanyahu, the situation grows increasingly likely PM Netanyahu will not be able to complete his four-year term.

The latest blow to the prime minister is that former Communications Ministry Director-General Shlomo Filber is agreeing to become a state witness against Mr. Netanyahu. Mr. Netanyahu continues releasing a message of calm, and based on this poll, it could be that the people are internalizing his words.
