MK Smotrich: To Reach An Understanding And Get Rid Of Lieberman

MK (Bayit Yehudi) Betzalel Smotrich on motzei Shabbos called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to reach an understanding with the chareidi parties regarding a new draft law, citing the time has come to rid the coalition of Avigdor Lieberman. According to Smotrich, “Avigdor 48 hours Lieberman” does not have the ability to topple the government as the current coalition was operating for close to two years prior to his joining.

As Prime Minister Netanyahu was preparing for his meeting with heads of the chareidi factions in Knesset, Liberman tweeted “In life, there are times when one must go with what one believes and not with what is most worthwhile. This is exactly this time”.

  1. Lieberman has proven to be the biggest disappointment in Israeli politics. He started off as strong representative of the “Right-wing” and has moved step by step into the embrace of the “Left.” That combined with so many of his cronies being convicted of corruption and sent to prison has left him with the image of a desperate politico willing to do anything to hold onto his Knesset seat. His “race baiting” tactic of attacking the Hareidim is disgusting and finds less and less sympathy from his Russian political base. Most have been in Israel too long to fall for his babbling.
