Ra’anana Mayor Submits His Resignation

Ra’anana Mayor Ze’ev Bielski on Tuesday, 26 Adar, submitted his resignation from office, which takes effect in 48 hours.

In a letter sent by Mayor Bielski to Interior Minister Aryeh Deri, he announced his resignation as Ra’anana’s mayor. On Thursday, March 15, the city council will convene to elect a temporary mayor, who will serve in his post until the general municipal elections scheduled for October 30, 2018.

Bielski said today in a moving letter that he wrote:

“In the past three decades, my life has been intertwined with Ra’anana’s life and the Ra’anana Municipality’s life. But more than anything, these years are intertwined in your own life, the dedicated employees of the Ra’anana Municipality. I have been privileged to meet each and every one of you during these years and to be your loyal partner in the great effort to develop the city of Ra’anana and to promote the quality of life of the residents living there.

Throughout my years as mayor, I came to the municipal offices every morning with great joy and joy, to serve Ra’anana residents and to provide them with the best possible service.

From my first day in the municipality, I knew that I had a great privilege to work with you, wonderful managers and employees – professional, dedicated and caring, loyal partners who are fulfilling the mission of the public servants – to work to create a better reality for the city’s residents.

I have seen every day your contribution and dedication to the city and its residents, your dedication to realizing our vision to make Ra’anana a leading city in all areas of urban life, and our special cooperation with the municipality and myself.”

  1. for heaven’s sake, can YWN not ‘fuzz up’ the lady in the picture who forgot to get dressed this morning…
a little extra care in the pictures posted would be greatly appreciated

  2. chillworker2, chillout. The lady did get dressed. She just doesn’t have the same dress code as you do. People like you really have x-ray eyes when you should have more of a sense of personal shemiras einayim. I saw the picture but didn’t even notice her until you pointed her out.
