Health Ministry Officials to Face Indictments in Remedia Affairs

State Prosecutor Moshe Lador on Monday announced his decision to hand down criminal indictments against five Health Ministry officials in the 2003 Remedia case, the baby formula which led to the deaths of three infants and permanent disabilities among some 20 others.

The lack of B1 (Thiamine) in the baby formula led to the disastrous results, and the health officials will face charges for their part in the negligence deaths and disabilities of the infants.

Also facing criminal charges are three former Remedia employees.
