According to Jerusalem Police, over 1,000 chareidim took part in a predawn protest at Kikar Shabbos on erev Shabbos, 23 Tishrei 5774.
The report states that as the second hakofos were winding down, the protestors began burning garbage cans and blocking the streets. No explanation for the protest was given.
